His shots are quite slow, so they are easy to dodge, but he shoots them multiple times in a row and are extremely powerful, so be careful. Deal with it, then move towards the Piercing Rifle hunter. As you continue up the stairs, another dog will attempt to attack you. Destroy it, and then you can get the 4 Quicksilver Bullets on the corpse. If you turn around, to the right side of the gate we came from there will be a turret. Once the dogs are dealt with, the other reason why you shouldn’t blindly rush to get the item is a trap that will trigger via pressure plate. You’ll also see a Piercing Rifle hunter higher up the stairs, but he can’t attack you as long as you stay around the ground level where we came from. First off, two bloody dogs will come rushing down the stairs trying to attack you, so deal with them first. Continue onwards through the big gate.ĭON'T rush straight for the item to the left there are two reasons why you shouldn’t. Once they are dead, pick up the other Madman's Knowledge in the gravesite area, it is on another dead body in the gravesite, near the large grave area with statues. You'll see more beasts in the gate area, and they will aggro on you once you are close enough, along with a Beast Cutter hunter. As with the rest, he will not attack you if there are beasts closer to him. Whatever you do, be sure to pick up the Madman's Knowledge from the dead body in front of one of the tombstones near the beasts. Afterwards, you can deal with him 1 on 1, or you can deal with the beasts firsts and face him then. If you wish, you can aggro him and he will fight the beasts "alongside" you, so long as you don't go near him. A word of warning however, behind the corner of one of the buildings waits a Boom Hammer hunter. Now, when you attempt to fight the next group of beasts in the more middle part of the gravesite, some of them will attack you and some of them will cower in fear. Pick up the 6 Blood Vials that were behind them. Turn left and take care of the 3 beasts that are very scared of you for some reason. Start walking down towards the gravesite, but be sure to stay close to the left wall of the path.
We'll be going towards the gravesite, but don't worry much as the other path connects to where we'll go anyways. Pick up the 3 Blood Vials in the direction of the gravesite, then turn around and pick up the Frenzied Coldblood (9) on that small cliffside behind you. Afterwards, continue on the previous upper path until you reach a crossroads, with one direction leading to a circular gravesite and the other path leading upwards. Dispose of him and go up the stairs to pick up an Old Hunter Cap. Coming from above the stairs to the right, another Beast Cutter hunter should start walking down. Fall back down to the ground level, but be careful. You should see a small ledge you can fall down to, and on a small roof below, there will be some Old Hunter Gloves you should pick up. Once he is taken care of, stop for a moment and look back towards the cathedral. Just be careful of his shotgun though, as it can be quite damaging over time and he can spam the shots continuously. He's not a very difficult enemy you can easily bait out one of his whip attacks and parry it from a safe distance. But don't act all friendly yet, as he'll soon turn his blade on you. As you continue along the path, you'll see two beasts be destroyed by a Beast Cutter hunter. While walking up the path, be sure to pick up the Twin Blood Stone Shards on the right. Don't worry about those stairs leading upwards on the left for now we'll be opening a shortcut from that direction in a little bit. Head back to the cathedral exit and start walking up along the upper pathway to the right.
Once you're outside, head to the left and you'll find a Frenzied Coldblood (8) near the cathedral wall. We'll be opening that up later for a shortcut. Moving forward, you'll see a locked door on the right side of the cathedral.
